He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marjorie Morrow Roberson; daughter Cynthia Leigh Mason and loving husband Don Mason; one granddaughter Kathryn Leigh; one brother Glen and wife Jo; sister-in-law Lucy Roberson; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Roberson was a member of the Iron City Church of Christ, a member of IBEW Local 558, and retired from Florence Electricity Department. He was a World War II veteran who was stationed in New York City, having served as a gunner on the Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth Ships, making 14 trips to Glasgow, Scotland and numerous other places. A graveside service for Mr. Roberson will be conducted Monday, October 15 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in St. Joseph, TN at 11:00 A.M. The family would like to send a special thanks to Chris Whitten who was so faithful and kind to assist Wayland for more than two years. Mr. Roberson was much loved by his wife, daughter, and family. He will be remembered as a faithful and loving husband and a wonderful father to his daughter "Cindy" and granddaughter "Katy" whom he adored.
