Obituary of Judy Ann Wisdom

Judy Ann Barnett Hammond Wisdom, Our dear mother, sadly passed away at the age of 74 at her home in Greenhill, AL on October 27, 2024. She was born on March 2, 1950 in St. Joseph, TN to James and Louise Barnett. She was graduate of Loretto High School and she worked for Dr. Weathers in Loretto in the early 1970’s. She married Creston Hammond in 1975 and had (3) children . They were married until 2001 when Creston passed away. She worked at NHC in Lawrenceburg and did Home Health and private sitting from the 1970’s until 2006 when she went to work at El Reposo Nursing Home. She married Jimmie Wisdom and they were married until 2012 when he passed away. She loved her job as a CNA taking care of her patients and she loved her coworkers throughout the years. She had some that were like her sisters-Brenda Atwell, Gail Wallace, and Janice Blackstock. She also loved her family, her kids and grandkids and her mother and her brothers. She had a special bond with her brothers. She always said “I was blessed with good brothers”. Judy was preceded in death by: Father: James Barnett Step-father: Charles Spires Husband: Creston Hammond Husband: Jimmie Wisdom Son: Stephen Ferguson She is suruvied by: Mother: Louise Spires Daughters: Tika Crowden (Edmond) and Kimberly Hammond (Charles) Son: Timothy Hammond Brothers: Jimmy Barnett (Pat) and Charlie Spires (Martha) Grandchildren: Renea Hibner; Tyler, Andy, Will, and Jordan Crowden; Lexi Hammond; Issabella Hammond; Cayden Hammond; Brad Hammond; Kyle Hammond; Drake Hammond; Briar Hammond; and Kayla Simbeck (7) Great-grandchildren Several Nieces and Nephews Visitation will be Thursday, October 31, 2024 from 5-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Leon Smith officiating. Burial will be Portertown Cemetery. Judy will be missed so much !
