Obituary of Troy Lee "Tank" McGee

Troy Lee “Tank” McGee, 57, of Anderson, AL, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. Troy was born on August 9, 1967 and is preceded in death by his mother Linda Sue Tidwell, step-father Leonard “Jebo” Tidwell, father-in-law Charles Cates, and two nephews Justin and Dustin Burbank. Troy is survived by his wife of 33 years, Renea McGee, two daughters Megan Wright (Chris) and Danielle Thigpen (Taylor), and one grandson who was the joy of his life, Charlie Thigpen. He was also survived by his 2 sisters: Denise Burbank(Edward) & Darlene Simbeck, 1 brother, Richard Patton, and his step-mother Linda Jean Patton, along with numerous nieces and nephews, cousins & an abundance of friends. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 29, from 5:00 – 8:00pm, at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Monday, September 30, 2024, at 2:00pm, at Greenhill Funeral Home. Burial will be at Bluewater Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Matthew Smith, John Mason, Mike Lindsey, Micah Minor, Jonathon McGee, Cody Burbank, Jeff Cottrell & Garrett Mason. Honorary pallbearer will be Ronnie McGee.
