Marvin aka "Eddie" was my Southern Daddy and I was his Hallelujah! He loved all of Lezli's friends as his own and became a special part of our lives. I fondly remember my trip to Florence with a stop at Huff Holler as well as his many visits to San Francisco. He had big heart, a lifetime of wisdom to share and will be missed!

Eddie was my patient for years at Florence Ophthalmology. But over the years he also became a friend. He would always ask me to schedule his appointments close to lunch time and would always offer to take me to Godfathers for pizza. He loved Godfathers pizza more than anything and he knew everyone who worked there.
He could be a hard headed thing and a little on the headstrong side but he was also kind and would do anything he could to help others. We had a lot of laughs during his visits and he will be truly missed.
Love and prayers for you girls. He is now your guardian angel.

All I ever wanted to be was just like my Daddy. I tried shaving with his cream and razor when I was 4 and I remember being soo proud coming out of the bathroom with shaving cream on with a little pink tint since I had already nicked my face. It scared him but once he got me cleaned up, he couldn’t help but laugh….
As a welder he wore Levi shirts and jeans, starched daily…I missed him soo much after we moved back to Arkansas that I told everyone in the 2nd grade to call me “Levi”. I even signed my class picture as Levi.. that has gotten a lot of mileage over the years, but it came out of a little girl who missed her Daddy.

Daddy on the beach in Destin, Florida where he met up with Me, Laurie, my good friend Silvia, and our cousin Everett. We had a wonderful time at the beach, laying around, eating seafood and hanging out, laughing, playing cards and watching the sky turn a funny color of blue. We made it out of Florida right before Hurricane Andrew hit…. But before that Hurricane Eddie had made his mark!

Daddy was a Jack-of-all trades. He could do anything; build it, weld it, fix it, write you a poem, paint you a picture or make your a tincture…while joking the whole time. He was such a jokester, laughing all the time.He loved being outdoors, he loved music and he was a wonderful guitar player and singer. He checked on his family as the only son left. He represented his family by being the first to be there if they needed help and was always there for his friends and family funerals. We spoke 2-3x week in the last 5 years. I will surely miss those calls. I love you Daddy. Laurie Few

There never was a more proud Daddy as the day he walked me down the aisle. For a special memory for everyone there, for our Daddy-Daughter dance he had recorded a cd of him singing “Unchained Melody” with a special dedication at the end; “ I love you my precious baby girl.’” Not a dry eye in the place. He then proceeded to dance with every lady there; young and old and have the best night ever. Making it my best night ever…He is loved and missed from California to Killen… My Daddy, the best one of all.
