Edna Lou Rodgers Boyd, 76, passed away peacefully with her loving family gathered around her on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Southern Tennessee Regional Hospital. She was born on Friday, October 10, 1947, in Lawrenceburg, TN, to Cicero and Hautie Curtis Rodgers. In her spare time she loved to sew and read her bible. Her family was her greatest blessings. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Melvin Junior Boyd, Sr., her parents and six siblings. She is survived by her 8 children; 5 sons: Melvin Boyd, Jr., Eddie Boyd (Lynda), Mark Boyd (Penny), Neal Boyd, and Shane Boyd (Elissa). 3 daughters: Melba McKey (Buford Ray), Nancy Boyd and Mechelle Eaton (Shane); 21 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren; brother: Rex Rodgers; sister: Virginia Moore. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 5:00 – 8:00pm, at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 11:00am, with T.R. Williams officiating. Burial will be at Bumpas Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Derek Eaton, Timothy “Bubba” Henson, Dakota Newton, Wayne Rodgers, Steven Russ & Ty Kinsey.
