Obituary of James Talmadge Price, Jr.

Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James Talmadge Price, Jr. (Jim) age 73 of Greenhill self-professed “jack of all trades, master of none”, hunter, hunting guide, bowler, golfer, archer, avid reader, artist, loving father, and husband passed away in the wee hours of the morning July 27th 2023. He is survived by his mother, Gretchen Price; his wife of 51 years, Ruth Price; his daughter, Carrie Stepp; son-in-law, Ron Stepp; and many other much-loved family and friends. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Cecil; and his father, James Talmadge (JT) Price, Sr. As a lover of the outdoors, his remains will be cremated and spread over some prime hunting property later this fall. He loved to bowl, but the bowling alley doesn’t have an appropriate place for ashes. If we leave him on the mantel, the cats will surely knock him to the floor. Family and friends will be invited to share stories, food, and time together at a date to be announced later. Special thanks to caregivers past and most recent: LaDonna Falgout, Nicole Wright, and Jennifer Feltner; nurses: Heather and Jamie; Hospice Liason: Blakely; the staff of NAMC hall 5201 with Dr. Heaton and Dr. Suazo, Mitchell Hollingsworth, and Shoals Hospice.
