Obituary of Rufus Reeder Springer

Rufus Reeder Springer, 77, of Killen, AL, passed away July 24, 2023 at NAMC. Reeder was retired as a Chemical Operator at Tennessee Valley Authority and was a member of the Church of God faith. He was born in Lawrence County, TN. Reeder is survived by: Wife: Clara “Jeanie” Woods Springer Son: Nathan Springer and wife Bethany Daughter: Lori Myrick and husband Ken Step-Sons: Doug Smith and Michael Smith and his wife Kelly Brothers: Lambert Springer and Larry Springer Sister: Inda Oliver Grandchildren: Ethan Myrick, Hannah Beth Myrick, Kendal Myrick, Ella Springer, Eli Springer, Delina Smith, Marissa Johnston, and Crystal Smith Great-grandchildren: Nyla Johnston and Dre’ Johnston He was preceded in death by: Parents: Willie Rufus Springer and Ina Faye Ghrigsby Springer Brothers: Willard Springer, Doyce Springer, and J.B. Springer Sisters: Dorothy Solley, Jane Matthews, Lorene Smith, and Frances Stutts There will be a graveside service for Reeder on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. at Richardson Chapel Cemetery with Justus Cole officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made to the family to help with hospital expenses.
