Alvie Edison “Ed” Pettus, 76, of St. Joseph, TN, passed away January 7, 2023 at his home. Ed was retired from Reynold’s Metals and was the Manager of Stateline Market. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Loretto, TN and also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Greenhill, AL. Ed is survived by: Wife: Brenda Butler Pettus Son: Edward Pettus of St. Joseph Daughters: Teresa L. Williams of Lexington, AL; Sonya K. Butler of St. Joseph; and Kaye Lynn Byrd of St. Joseph Sisters: Malee Pettus Bassham of Pensacola, FL; Elizabeth “Lizz” Johnson of Lexington; Priscilla Davenport of Muscle Shoals, AL; Connie Lamprecht of St. Joseph; and Lisa Hughes of Five Points, TN (7) Grandchildren and (7) Great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by: Parents: Alvie Reeder Pettus and Laura Emma Spires Pettus Son: William Joe Cox, Jr. Brother: Jerry Cahill Pettus Visitation will be Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 12:00-2:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Greg Morris officiating. Burial will be in Pettus Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edward Pettus, Ronnie Pettus, Blake Williams, Curtis Behel, Harold Danley, and Jack Wellman.
