Obituary of Royce "Tooter" Henkel

Royce Paul "Tooter" Henkel, 78, of Loretto, TN, passed away May 9, 2012, after a brief illness. He was retired from Murray Ohio Manufacturing and a member of the Catholic faith. Mr. Henkel was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, a Volunteer Fireman for the city of Loretto, and a Reserve County Deputy for Lawrence County. Survivors include: Son: Anthony "Bud" Henkel of Loretto Daughter: Karren Braly of Loretto Sisters: Barbara Luna of Loretto and Catherine Pettus of Greenhill (4) Grandchildren and (6) Great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Mary "May" Henkel; his wife Bonnie Howell Henkel; and brothers James and Ambrose Henkel. Visitation will be at Greenhill Funeral Home on Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 5-7:00 P.M. with the prayer service at 7:00 P.M. The funeral service will be in the funeral home chapel Friday at 10:00 A.M. with Father Kevin Dowling officiating. Burial will be in Loretto Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lt. Jeff Dean, Sgt. Bud Smith, Sgt. Tony Beard, Sgt. Tyler McDow, Cpl. Jody Shaddix, and Dep. Tim Vess. You may sign the online guestbook at greenhillfuneralhome.net.
