I owe so much of my life to Mrs. Brown. I was a student at Woodmont Christian Academy and Shoals Christian School when she was librarian there. Because of her wonderful spirit, kind nature, love of books, and presence in my life as a child, I have also become a librarian to inspire others as she inspired me. I work at Kares Library at Athens State University in Athens, Alabama and help students of all ages achieve their academic goals through research and outreach. Mrs. Brown was such a light in my life and I am thankful to have known her in my formative years. I will never forget her and I hope to be a librarian just like her.

My Heart is so greatful to have known and loved Mrs. Brown. She taught me so much when I worked I at Rogers High School Library., from 9 grade till graduation. She was a wonderful person. If I had not been blessed with Mrs. Brown at that time I do not believe I would have made it thru High School. She taught me a lot about books. Mostly the love of reading! She made me smile when I cried, laughed, when I wanted to scream. I was so Blessed to to have her as a teacher, mentor, and friend!She loved her Children and grand Children so very much. I am so sorry for her passing. Love and prayers to you all!

Mentor and friend. Mrs. Brown was both, and more. She helped me find my path and helped populate my roadmap. Patricia, Stan and the Brown family, my heart is heavy for you. But I know what she would say: "I love you. Now Accept the Challenge and Endeavor to Persevere."
