Obituary of Edward "Inky" Grigsby

Edward "Inky" Grigsby, 72, of Killen, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012, after an extended illness.
He was preceded in death by parents, Morris and Jenny Grigsby; brothers, Auldon, Louis, Harry and Raymond Grigsby; sisters, Nellie Lovelace and Effie Fowler; father- and mother-in-law, Evert and Helen Hayes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Edith Grigsby; son, Tommy Grigsby and wife, Teri, of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughter, Connie Withers and husband, Tommy, Killen; granddaughter, Tori Bassham and husband, Drew, of South Carolina; grandsons, Matthew and Takoda Withers; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Brady Bassham; stepgrandsons, Ryan, Warren and Brandon Radosti; stepgreat-grandchildren, Alyana and Bryson Radosti; brother, Jim Grigsby and wife, Velma; sister, Bertha Billingsley; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Martha Grigsby, Tim and Carolyn McCluskey, Clayton and Barbara Hayes, Daniel and Brenda Creasy, Ronald and Nadine Hayes, Randy and Regina Hayes, Phillip and Debbie Hayes, Sam and Faye Chandler, Jack and Mary Handley, Doris Creasy, Danny and Myra Arnold.
He was a member of Lone Cedar Church of Christ. He enjoyed the years he spent working with 'One Nation Under God' with Daniel Whitworth. He also enjoyed the times he traveled with a neighbor as he made his deliveries.
The family would like to thank family, church family, neighbors and friends for being their through this difficult time, especially their minister, Tim Grigsby.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at Lone Cedar Church of Christ. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Tim Grigsby and Bro. Ben Hayes officiating. The burial will be in Lone Cedar Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lone Cedar Church of Christ.
