Walter James “Jimmy” Clemmons, Jr., 73, of Greenhill, AL, passed away January 17, 2021 at his home. Jimmy was a retired Machinist for Tennessee Valley Authority and a member of Greenhill First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Army Reserves. Jimmy is survived by; Wife: Carolyn J. Clemmons Son: James Eric Clemmons (Shannon) Granddaughter: Katie Brooke Clemmons Sister: Betty Gail Gist Great-Uncle: Joe Frank Fowler He was preceded in death by: Parents: Walter James Clemmons, Sr. and Geneva Fowler Clemmons Step-mother: Ollie Clemmons Brother: Larry C. Clemmons Sister: Nancy Brown and her husband Charles Brown There will be a private, family only graveside service for Jimmy held at Greenhill Cemetery with Bro. Gregg Woodard officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Balentine, Ed Riner, Larry McMurtrey, Jim Phillips, Hugh Jones, and Walt Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Connor Gray, Austin Brown, Edward Jones, and the Pirates Corner Group. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Shoals and Cancer Care Institute of Florence for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Greenhill Cemetery Fund. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
