Obituary of Kenneth Cox

Kenneth Cox, 80, of Florence, AL, passed away January 11, 2021. Our sweet precious Daddy drove through the gates of Heaven in his ’59 Ford on January 11th after a short battle with Covid. He was the light in his daughter’s and grandkid’s eyes. He was loved by all who knew him and will be in our hearts forever. Kenneth was a retired union worker for Reynolds and a member of Florence Blvd. Church of Christ. He was also a Veteran of the United States National Guard. Kenneth is survived by: Wife of 49 years: Marjorie Cox Daughters: Katrena Pierce (Todd) & Jennifer Cox (Johnny) Grandchildren: Tristin Pierce (Crysta), Jaiden Cox, and Justen Cox Sister: Linda McClure Many nieces and nephews Preceded in death by: Mother: Katherine Cox Father: Marvin Cox Sisters: Betty Ruth Carter, Mary E. Irons, Virginia Walker, and Rebecca Cox Brothers: Jimmy “Sonny” Porter Cox, Phillip Cox, and Infant Baby Boy Cox There will be a graveside service for Kenneth on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Shiloh Cemetery with Bro. Wayne Kilpatrick officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
