Jerry Wayne Burgess, 78, of Florence, passed away October 16, 2020, at his residence. He was a retired welder, a Veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include:
Sons: Dewey Wayne Burgess & Danny Ray Burgess
Daughter: Deborah Ann Tyson (Thomas)
Brother: Ernest Carl Burgess
Preceded in death by:
Parents: Alvin E. & Alma Lawson Burgess
Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, October 20, from 11:00am – 1:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Railroad Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Dennis Burgess, Daryll Burgess, Donnie Purser, Anthony Daniels, Greg Burgess & Chris Burgess.
Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
