We haven't been in close contact with Joe for a few years but he has always been in our hearts. Our prayers go out to Jackie, Lisa, and Joe's daughters. We always enjoyed the Christmas photos of the girls and knowing what they were doing. When Joe was 4 years old he came to our home for DayCare and he was a very energetic and intuitive little boy. I so enjoyed him and his curiosity. I just know he was a wonderful son, brother and father. He now is at peace and the family must grieve in their own ways. The happy memories will, in time, help fill the loss in all of our hearts. Love, Helen and Dick

I first met Jo-Jo when he arrived in AL from CA. He immediately became my little buddy. He was fascinated by cars, as any young boy would be. I taught him to drive a straight stick - four in the floor, and it was quite a memorable event. The few moments of explanation and demonstration immediately led to a ride that neither of us would ever forget. When he popped the clutch, the car lept forward like a frog, and we jumped all over the neighborhood. His love for cars was quite evident throughout his life, and I am happy to have been a part of his learning the fundamentals. Jo-Jo was a kind and caring person who will always be remembered as a Good Man. He will be missed by friends and family.

Joe was a compasionate man,who lived and believed in doing all he could for others and I know that all who knew him will concur. He was strong yet gentle with a impressible drive for life, laughter and fun. In him I found virtues for which I strive for in my own life.He fought many battles and made many sacrifices in his short time here.He carried a spirit in him that could not be ignored. He had perpetual love and a kindness in his heart that we will all remember for all of our days.He enriched the lives of his mother, daughters, family, friends and all that knew him.And in looking back over all these years he always expressed love to those who he loved and was loving to everyone he met.I cannot put into words how much joy Joe has brought into my life by giving me a child in which is loving, sweet, nurturing, compasionate, generous, big hearted and at times comically silly.I will miss Joe forever. God Bless his family and friends.

I was so sad to hear of Joe's passing. We grew up together but fell out of touch after highchool graduation. I always enjoyed visiting with Joe at the BIG house on the bluff playing pool and just hanging out. I feel most fortunate to have reconnected with Joe via Facebook over the course of the last few years and to have had the opportunity to recall and relive memories of our past. During the course of this reconnection, Joe seemed to go out of his way to make me feel good about myself and let me know that he was genuinely proud of me. It meant so much to hear these things from him and I was hoping to get a chance to see him in person this summer to let him know in person how much I appreciated his kind words and praise. Joe was a special person that I only ever remember SMILING. I will miss our chats and comments but will miss most of all the opportunity to see him smile again. RIP Joe. My prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

I met Joe when I graduated from High School. I was selling insurance when he came in my office to get a policy on some awesome boat he had that he claimed had the biggest "rooster tail" in the southeast!! Well, he was determined that I get in that boat so he could show me what she had. Joe and I spent that summer hanging out together. He showed me a great time and we threw an awesome party at the house on the bluff! Joe's motto was "First Class or NO Class." I will never forget that summer. He loved his Mother and Sister Lisa so much. He was so proud of them and often boasted of their accomplishments. We last connected this past August where he shared with me the love of his two beautiful daughters. He said his oldest was his twin and she had recently been baptized. He was a very proud Dad. It was my intent to see Joe on the lake this summer since we talked about my new boat. He was excited for me and told me he would show me how to maximize her skills!!! LOL Joe, you really did have a smile and laugh that was contagious. You will always be remembered and my prayers go out to your family. I know a huge hole will be in their hearts. I hope you rest in peace my friend and may God Bless. Best regards, Amy
