William Richard “W.R.” Evans, 76, of Lexington, AL, passed away August 23, 2020 at his home. Mr. Evans was a retired Electrician at BP-Amoco in Decatur, AL and was of the Christian faith. W.R. was a proud United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Evans is survived by:
Wife: Pamela Wilson Evans
Son: Richard Evans
Daughter: Deb Boyer (Mark Smith)
Step-sons: Anthony Potts (Holly) & David Potts (Shana)
Sisters: Yvonne Todd and Willie Mae Eldridge
Grandchildren: Conner, Lauren, and Ella Potts, Jameson and Lyric Potts, & Mike, Oriana, and Magnum Boyer
Several great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by:
Parents: Oscar Fred Evans and Cleavie Otis Chambers Evans
(1)Brother and (1) Sister
Visitation will be Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Anthony Potts officiating. Burial will be in Pettus Cemetery with full military honors.
Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
