Obituary of Peggy Rosanna Tidwell

Peggy Rosanna Tidwell, 68, of Killen, AL, passed away August 15, 2020, at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence. She was a native and life-long resident of Lauderdale County, AL, and a member of Atlas Church of Christ. Peggy was a retired bus driver for the county and a mother to many kids that were not her own. Survivors include: Husband: Cletus Tidwell Sons: Wesley Tidwell & Dwayne Quillen Brothers: Randy Parker & Russell Parker Sisters: Patsy Harvey, Gennie Hammond & Judy Brewer (Doug) Grandchildren: Mia Quillen, Lilly Berry & Jett Seekings Preceded in death by: Parents: Luther Jones Parker & Ruth Helen Smith Parker Sister: Glenda Lee Parker Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, August 18, from 10:00am – 12:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Ronnie Ray and Miles Stutts officiating. Burial will be in Cox Cemetery. The family requests that the funeral service be PRIVATE, immediate family only. Any friends that are coming to the visitation are asked to please leave after speaking with the family. The family also asks that visitors and friends that are coming to please wear a mask and practice social distancing. Pallbearers will be: Tony Harvey, Bryan Hammond, Kevin Hammond, Luke Brewer, Gary Tidwell, Alex DeLuna and Carson Parker. Honorary pallbearers and special friends: Jamie Brown, Larry Roberson, Steve Myrick, nephews and great nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to: CASA of the Shoals and the North Alabama Christian Children’s Home. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
