William Arthur “Billy” McKinney, Jr., 74, of Iron City, TN, passed away from a brief illness on July 13, 2020 at his home. Billy was retired from Dura Automotive and was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was of the Church of Christ faith. Billy is survived by: Son: Jerry Dotson of St. Joseph, TN Daughters: Kay Neace (Roger), Vickie Steele (Ray), Curly Dotson Moore (Doyle), Tammi Springer-all of St. Joseph, TN; and Marie Tucker (Daryl) of Loretto, TN Brother: Dwight McKinney of Shelbyville, TN Sister: Dale Bates (Garland) of Shelbyville, TN (13) Grandchildren, (20) Great-grandchildren, and (5) Great-greatgrandchildren Numerous Nieces and Nephews He was preceded in death by: Parents: William Arthur McKinney, Sr. and Ester Ellen Lancaster McKinney Sister: Joan McKinney Wife: Lucille Goolsby McKinney Son: Jimmy Ray “Pete” Dotson Daughter: Donna Gail Daniel Grandsons: Benjamin Ray Dotson and Ritchie Wayne Daniel Great-grandchildren: Nayima Ka’Neace Young and Kingston Grandberry Visitation will be Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 10-11:00 A.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with Van VanSandt officiating. Burial will be in Odem’s Chapel Cemetery with full military honors. Pallbearers will be Chad Wallace, Jasper Wallace, Josh Neace, Jeremy Steele, Kirt Daniel, and Lance Smithson.
