Obituary of Andrew Jackson Hughes

Andrew Jackson “Buster” Hughes, 94 of Loretto, TN, passed away February 16, 2020 at his home. Buster was a retired supervisor for Wilson Casket Company and owner of Buster’ Flea Marker in St. Joseph, TN. He was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII, where he served as a Seaman 1st Class. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post #146. He was the oldest living member of Post #146, having been a member for 74 years. Buster is survived by: Sons: Nicky Hughes (Haley) of Loretto & Ed Hughes (Lisa) of Five Points, TN Grandchildren: Kassie, Kaleb, Kristan, Keianna, Kali, and Reanna Great-grandchildren: Jackson, Nevaeh, Hunter, Jalissa, Jahem, Addison, Brayden, Asher, Allie, Kimber, and Charlie He was preceded in death by: Wife: Jean Hughes Parents: James David Hughes and Ella Fisher Hughes Brothers: James David “Whacker” Hughes, Dalton “Gopher” Hughes, and Eulas “Buddy” Hughes Sisters: Telbio (Tebi) Hughes, Rethia Hughes, and Diane Hughes Visitation will be Tuesday, February 18th from 5-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Mike Ayers officiating. Burial will be in Restview Cemetery with full military honors. Jo Arnold will serve as Honorary Pallbearer. The family would like to thank: Compassus Hospice for their love and care. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
