Obituary of Andrew Jackson Hughes

Andrew Jackson “Buster” Hughes, 94 of Loretto, TN, passed away February 16, 2020 at his home. Buster was a retired supervisor for Wilson Casket Company and owner of Buster’ Flea Marker in St. Joseph, TN. He was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII, where he served as a Seaman 1st Class. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post #146. He was the oldest living member of Post #146, having been a member for 74 years.
Buster is survived by:
Sons: Nicky Hughes (Haley) of Loretto & Ed Hughes (Lisa) of Five Points, TN
Grandchildren: Kassie, Kaleb, Kristan, Keianna, Kali, and Reanna
Great-grandchildren: Jackson, Nevaeh, Hunter, Jalissa, Jahem, Addison, Brayden, Asher, Allie, Kimber, and Charlie
He was preceded in death by:
Wife: Jean Hughes
Parents: James David Hughes and Ella Fisher Hughes
Brothers: James David “Whacker” Hughes, Dalton “Gopher” Hughes, and Eulas “Buddy” Hughes
Sisters: Telbio (Tebi) Hughes, Rethia Hughes, and Diane Hughes
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 18th from 5-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Mike Ayers officiating. Burial will be in Restview Cemetery with full military honors. Jo Arnold will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.
