Gilbert B. Borden, 80, of St. Joseph, TN, passed away December 5, 2019 at Vanderbilt Hospital. Mr. Borden was a retired Maintenance Ironworker and a member of First Baptist Church of St. Joseph, TN.

 

Gilbert is survived by:

 

Son: Jeffrey Lum “Jeff” Borden of Rogersville, AL

Daughters: Carol Belinda Sandy Peppers (Randall) of Loretto, TN & Janet Lillian Sandy Gleespen (Jeffery) of Murfreesboro, TN

(7) Grandchildren and (10) Great-grandchildren

 

He was preceded in death by:

 

Parents: Lum Barton Borden and Mary Evelyn Willingham Borden

Sister: Mary Virginia Borden Stults

Wife: Naida Williams Sandy Borden

Sons: Douglas Gil “Doug” Borden & Gary Edward Sandy

 

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 5-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Greenhill Funeral Home with Bro. Mahlon Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Richardson Chapel Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be Ricky Pettus, David Pettus, Brent Carter, Jackson Brown, Nathan Lee, and Terry Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Coats and Larry Gooch.

 

Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
