Obituary of Willie Sue Smith

Willie Sue Phillips Smith, 98, of Florence, AL, passed away November 15, 2019. Mrs. Smith was a native of Lauderdale County, AL and a retired Elementary School Teacher. She was a member of the Greenhill United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Smith is survived by:

Sons: Charles Phillip Smith (Jackie) & Patrick Fitzgerald Smith (Melissa)

Grandchildren: Charles Phillip Smith II, Jeffrey Kyle Hawkins, Jamison Lynn Hawkins, Melanie Grace Roehm (John Michael), and Meredith Hope Smith

Great-grandchildren: Charles Phillip Smith III, Lola Sloan Smith, & Mary Charles Roehm

She was preceded in death by:

Parents: William Ervin Phillips and Sybil Hill Phillips

Husband: Hollis Coffman Smith

Daughter: Patti Suzanne

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The service will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Emmaline Stutts Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Charles Phillip Smith II, Charles Phillip Smith III, Kyle Hawkins, Jami Hawkins, Ricky Hendrix and Anthony Hipps.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Michael Roehm, Perry Hinds, Jimmy Hollis & Doug Koonce.
