Hassel Burbank, 94, of Killen, AL, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force in World War II, Korea & Vietnam; a member of Lexington Methodist Church; a member of American Legion Post #146; and a member of Lexington Masonic Lodge and Honorary Member of Greenhill Masonic Lodge.

 

Survivors include:

Son: David L. Burbank, wife Mary

Daughters: Gale Gist, husband Dale & Susan Burbank

Brother: Hulon Burbank

Sisters: Virginia Springer & Lillian Jean Springer

(6) Grandchildren: Rory Gist, Kristen Gist, Sheenan Cole, Gemma Wade, Chris Wade, and Stephanie Schubert

 (4) Great grandchildren: Giovanni Cohea, Madalyn Alexander, Erik Schubert, and Matthew Schubert

 

Preceded in death by:

Parents: William Carl & Vester Black Burbank

Wife: Mabel Springer Burbank

Brothers: Howard, Hershel & Reeder Burbank

 

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 20, 2019, from 12:00 - 2:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Sam Hayes officiating followed with Masonic Rights.  Burial will follow in Pettus Cemetery with Military Honors at the graveside.

 

Pallbearers will be Eckard Walker, Johnny Young, Rory Gist, Chris Wade, Josh Schubert, and David Burbank.
