Obituary of Carl Ahonen

Carl Leslie Ahonen, 78, of Florence, AL, passed away June 10, 2019 at his home. Mr. Ahonen was a Center Operator on the Coating Line at Reynolds Alloy/Wise and was a member of the Church of Christ faith. He was a United States Army Veteran.

Mr. Ahonen is survived by:

Wife: Sue Gist Ahonen

Son: Darryl Ahonen (Trina) of Florence

Daughter: Regina Irons of Tuscumbia, AL

(3) Grandchildren: Clint Irons, Blake Irons, and Emily Ahonen

He was preceded in death by:

Father: Jacob William Ahonen

Mother: Lennie Gertrude Parrish Ahonen

Visitation will be Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 5-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Gary Gooch, Malcom Scott, and Harrison Chastain officiating. Burial will be in Jessie’s Garden Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tim Powell, Allen Irons, Glen Gist, Ronnie Gist, Tyler Lash, and Joe Stout. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Aldridge, Kenny Lash, Paul Isbell, Robert Isbell, and Gene Sanderson.
