Obituary of James Gooch

James Ralph “Poochie” Gooch, 75, of Florence, AL, passed away June 4, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Gooch was retired from Lauderdale County Road Department and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Sons: Richard Franklin Gooch & James “Travis” Gooch

Daughter: Rhonda Gail Gooch Hopson

Brother: Wayne Gooch

Sister: Bobby Ellis

(9) Grandchildren and (3) Great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Bayless Gooch and Oma Elizabeth Canerday Gooch.

Visitation will be Friday, June 7, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. with David Dowdy officiating. Burial will be Shiloh Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Sam Hopson, Kenneth Hopson, Adam Worley, Wayne Sharp, Mike Dowdy, and Sid Ellis.

Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
