Obituary of Flora Ethel Parker

Flora Ethel Parker, 96, of Killen, AL, passed away May 21, 2019. Flora was a member of First Baptist Church of Greenhill. She owned a dress shop and was an auctioneer. She was a former of president of the Auctioneer’s Association and served two terms on the board of directors. She was also inducted into the Auctioneer’s Hall of Fame.

 

She is survived by one sister Verdie Mae Kennedy, one brother-in-law J.T. Green, and son-in-law Leon Peden. 

 

Flora was preceded in death by her parents Earnest and Susie Danley Clemmons; her husband Jesse J. Parker; three children Royce Winfred, Jesse Wilford, and Flora Roberta Parker; brothers Walter Clemmons and Maurice Clemmons; and sisters Pauline Koonce, Lucille Davis, Christine Riley, and Earnestdean Green.

 

Visitation will be Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Gregg Woodard officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be nephews.

 

The family would like to thank the 5th Floor Nursing Staff at North Alabama Regional Hospital and for all the care given to her at Glenwood Rehab.
