Obituary of Estelle Newton
Mrs. Estelle Mosley Newton, 94, of Anderson, AL, passed from this life on March 14, 2019, surrounded by family. Estelle was of the Church of Christ faith and retired from Salant & Salant and the cotton gin.
Mrs. Newton is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, James Turner Newton; Parents: Otis & Bertha Shelton Mosley; Brothers: Willard, Herman & Kinelues; 3 infant children; and one special brother-in-law: Gerald Long.
She is survived by one son: Robert Newton and daughter-in-love Johnnie Newton of Anderson, AL; Sisters: Westelle McGraw, Patricia Balentine (Joe), and Gwen Long; Brothers: T.W.(Doris), and O.B.(Willie) of Florida. Grandchildren: Tamra Newton, Blake Newton, and Great-grandchildren: Regan, Makenna and Ryan Newton.
Visitation for Mrs. Newton will be on Monday, March 18, from 11:00am-1:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Bill Lyons officiating. Burial will be in Grassy Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Adrian Mosley, Jeffrey Owens, Doug Williams, Marty Mosley, Roger Mosley and Blake Newton.
