Obituary of Larry Purser

Larry Richard Purser, 66, of Florence, passed away December 11, 2011, at his residence. He was a self-employed auto technician and attended Mt. Zion Church of Christ. Survivors include: Wife: Marcia Ann Purser Mother: Martha Louise Purser Sons: Curtis Purser (Bobbie), Bryant Purser, and Shawn Purser Daughter: Amy White (Ricky Morgan) Step-sons: William Watkins (Jessica) and Michael Watkins (Christy) Step-daughter: Melisha Bass (Shannon) Brothers: Greg Purser, Tracy Purser, and Jeff Purser Sisters: Shelia Strickland, Angela Urban, Norma Wright, Karen Baskins, Janice Dodd, Connie Hickerson, and Beverly Purser Best Friend: Michael Roberson (18) Grandchildren and ( 2) Great Grandchildren Preceded in death by: Father: Charles Richard Purser Set of twins: Marlene and Charlene Brothers: Terry and Tommy Purser Sister: Donna Dobbs Grandchild: Kayla Purser Son-in-law: Chris White Best Friend: Steve Peters Visitation will be Monday, December 12, from 5:00-8:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 1:00pm at Mt. Zion Church of Christ with Bro. Robert Huffaker officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 11:00-1:00pm. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Roberson, Ricky Morgan, Chris Burgess, Norman Clark, Danny Stults, San Shelby, Kenny Hickerson, and Jackie Stricklin. Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Price, Tony Hamilton, Grady Stults, and Richard Peden. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
