Mrs Hines has had a special place in my heart for many, many years. I remember as a young teenager pulling up to their home and usually just hollering through the screen door, "hey whats for breakfast" and she would be in the kitchen and say something like" Well, I got some biscuits left and I could cook you some eggs." She always treated me as a son and she was a very dear person. One funny thing is she always called me by my full name when she saw me. I can still hear her say "Mike Yeager". I would always try to keep her humor up and we shared many laughs together. David was a very best friend, and after his passing I tried to see her as often as I could. I remember taking her a cake to the Senior Citizen Center one year for her birthday and she shared with all. Over the years I mastered making pecan pies and it was always a pleasure to surprise her with one during the holidays. A couple of weeks ago I took her one more to enjoy and it seemed to make her day. She was special to me and was one of the most pleasant ladies I have had the privilege of knowing. Thanks for all the memories. She was truly a special person.
