Dear Grieving Friends:
We, the bereaved parents of the Day-By-Day group, wish to express our condolences on the recent passing of your child and we extend our deepest sympathy to you.
Day by Day is a free-services organization that offers friendship and understanding to bereaved parents, stepparents and grandparents. Our purpose is to promote a positive resolution of grief by our listening and sharing sessions and our group programs. We provide someone to talk to, a listener who understands because all of us in Day By Day have experienced the loss of a child.
Our group meets on the second Sunday of every month at the Woodmont Baptist Church East Campus, 2002 Darby Dr. Florence, AL 35630. Our meeting begins at 2:00 p.m. and child care is available if you need it. There are no charges for any of our services. These meetings provide an opportunity to share ideas that have helped us cope with our grief. Guest speakers may be scheduled from time to time to give us new insights and information, and a local minister is present for the meetings.
We publish a monthly newsletter to keep parents informed of the upcoming meetings, to provide helpful information about our activities, and to present articles and poems written by bereaved parents. Our lending library of books and tapes is open to all members, and there are no dues or fees.
