Obituary of Billy Joe Horton

Billy Joe Horton, 71, of Florence, AL, passed away September 8, 2018, at his home with his family and friends by his side.  Mr. Horton was a floor covering installer.

                                Son:    Jeff Horton(Tammy)

                                Daughter:   Libby Rogers(Larry)

                                Brothers:   Ed Horton & Gary Horton

                                Sister:    Betty Cordell

                                (7) Grandchildren,   (3) Great Grandchildren

                Preceded in death by:

                                Parents:   Alexander Horton & Hester Bell Strickland Horton

                                Son:    Robert Wayne Horton

                                Brothers:   Henry Horton, Jimmy Horton & Morris Horton

                                Sister:   Mary Ruth Shaneyfelt & Ruth Murphy

                Visitation for Mr. Horton will be on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, from 1:00-2:00pm, at Greenhill Funeral Home.  A graveside service will follow at 2:00pm at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in St. Florian. 

                The family would like to thank Kindred Home Health Care, Southern Hospice and Dr. Steve Wampler for their care.
