James Harold McMurtrey, 79, of Killen, AL, passed away May 18, 2018. Mr. McMurtrey was retired from A.J. Gerrald Company and a member of Atlas Church of Christ.

 

                Mr. McMurtrey is survived by:

                                Daughters:             Sheree Cummings (Greg)

                                                               Kim Scott

                                                               Heather Danley (Jon)

                                Grandchildren:        Grace Dutton (Steven)

                                                                Cody, Cory, Kia, Jacob, and Ariel Cummings

                                                                Melany Bailey (Bud)

                                                                 Bridgett McMurtrey (Heath Green)

                                                                 Chloe and Callie Danley

                                (4) Great- Grandchildren

 

                He was preceded in death by:

 

                                Parents: Emmitt and Bessie McGee McMurtrey

                                Wife: Gloria Faye Beavers McMurtrey

                                Brother: Robert Earl McMurtrey

 

                Visitation will be Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M. with Bro. Miles Stutts officiating. Burial will be in Atlas Cemetery.

 

                Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
