Obituary of Henry Hemmen

Henry John Hemmen, Jr., 89, of Florence, AL, passed away March 18, 2018 at his home. Mr. Hemmen was a retired welder for Monsanto and a member of Shiloh Church of Christ.

                Mr. Hemmen is survived by:

                                Wife: Velma Hines Hemmen

                                Daughter: Vickie Lynn Hemmen Marbut

                                Sister: Mary Olive

                                Grandchildren: Chris Hemmen, Angie McClendon, and Carrie Tyler

                                (5) Great-grandchildren

                                (1) Great-great grandchild

                                Numerous nieces, nephews and many friends

                He was preceded in death by:

                                Parents: Henry John Hemmen, Sr. and Maddie Farris Hemmen

                                Son: John Michael Hemmen

                                Step-mother: Annie Hemmen

                                Brother: William Hemmen, Sr.

                                Sisters: Josephine Derryberry and Rita Gieske

                Visitation will be Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 11:00-1:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Howell Bigham, Brian Smith, and Wesley Ayers officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of the Shoals or Shiloh Cemetery Fund.
