Obituary of Jean Grooms

Margaret Jean Barnett Grooms, 86, of St. Joseph, TN, passed away March 14, 2018 at NHC Healthcare in Lawrenceburg, TN. Mrs. Grooms was a retired seamstress at Loretto Casket Co. She was a member of St. Joseph Methodist Church, where she played piano and organ.

Mrs. Grooms is survived by:

Daughters: Pam Grooms Lumpkins and husband Jerry of Loretto,    TN

                   Jeanne Grooms Ricketts of St. Joseph

Grandchildren: Amy Luffman and husband Barry of Loretto

                         Beth Ellis and husband Stephen of Loretto

Great-grandchildren: Kelby & Korey Luffman and Madison & Ralee Ellis; all of Loretto

Sister: Betty Bradley of Loretto

               

She was preceded in death by parents George Henry Barnett and Mamie Lucille Johnson Barnett and by her husband Gentry “Jim” Grooms.

 

Visitation will be Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 12:30-2:30 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 2:30 P.M. in the funeral chapel. Burial will be in St. Joseph Methodist Cemetery.

 

Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
