Obituary of William Buford "W.B" Wilcoxson

A memorial service will be held for William B. “W.B.” Wilcoxson, 79, of Madison, AL, on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 11:00 AM, at the Greenhill Funeral Home, Greenhill, AL.  Visitation is from 10:30 – 11:00 AM.  He was born December 4, 1938 and died January 31, 2018.  W. B.  grew up in St. Joseph, TN; graduated from Loretto High School; worked many years at Columbia Mill and Elevator Co.; and retired from Southeastern Mills in Rome, GA.  He enjoyed listening to country music, sports, taking care of his flower garden, especially the roses; growing tomatoes so tall he had to have a ladder to pick them; and spending time with family.

 Don Killen, long-time friend of the family, will officiate.

 W. B. was predeceased by his parents, William Buford (Boots) Wilcoxson, Sr., Jewell Hurst Wilcoxson, and sister Mary Nell Miller.

Survivors include his sisters Eloise Ferguson, Edith Cabaniss (Chris), brother M. Wayne Wilcoxson (Donna); nephews Tim Ferguson, Matthew Cabaniss (Jeannie), Jason Wilcoxson; nieces Lisa Ferguson Updike, Jackie Miller Hatcher (Mark), Tina Miller Burrow (Michael), and Rachel Cabaniss Hackworth (Isaac);  great nephews, nieces, and many cousins.

Interment of his ashes will be in Restview Cemetery, Loretto, TN, at a later date.  The family requests no flowers please; but remember W. B. by enjoying the beauty of the roses or plant one in memory of him.
