Obituary of Verlie Ruth Owen

Verlie Ruth Owen, 84, of Florence, passed away on November 15, 2011 at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence and her parents, George and Georgia Peden.
She was a life-long member of Lone Cedar Church of Christ. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Jo Ann Owen of Athens, AL; siblings, Ford Peden, Billie McGee, Grady Peden and Douglas Peden, wife Diane, all of Florence and Nellie Hunter, husband Glen, of Lilburn, GA.
Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. on Friday, November 18 at Greenhill Funeral Home followed by funeral services at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel. Interment will follow in the cemetery at Lone Cedar Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home, 2019 County Rd. 394, Killen, AL 34645.
