Elsie Irene White, 90, of Florence, passed away February 1, 2017, at Florence Nursing and Rehab. Center. She was a homemaker and a Christian.
Survivors include:
Sons: James Carl White and Kenneth Wayne White of Florence
Daughter: Janice Ruth White of Tallahassee, FL
Brother: Ledford Austin of Benton Harbor, MI
Grandchildren: Karla Dawson of Killen, Barry White of Hayden, AL, Tracy White of Florence
Great-Grandchildren: Mikayla Dawson of Killen, Chelsea Dorroh of Florence, and one on the way
Preceded in death by:
Parents: Marion and Nancy Austin
Son: Jimmy Lynn White
Several brothers and sisters
There will be a graveside service Friday, February 3, at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM with Pastor Phillip Skipworth and friend Cliff Miles officiating. Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Florence Nursing and Rehab. Center, and Hospice of the Shoals for their care given. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Hospice of Shoals: 115 Fairground Road, Florence, AL 35630.
