Thelma Lanier Reathford, 83, of Florence, passed away January 20, 2017. She was a member of the Church of Christ, and a self-employed dry wall finisher. Visitation will be Sunday, January 22, from 1:00-3:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00pm with Bobby Woodruff, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery. Survivors include: Son: Roger Lee Lanier (Freda) Daughters: Norma Lanier Hamilton (Jerry) Lucille Johnson (Roger) Daisy Malone (Quincy) Elaine Miller (Robert) Brothers: Ardell Coats Johnnie Coats (Mary) Bobby Coats Sisters: Evelyn Spidle Helen King June Phillips (Gene) Dell Castle Step-Children: Donnie Reathford (Henrietta) Pam Nichols (13) Grandchildren Preceded in death by: Husbands: Tommy Lanier Ralph Reathford Parents: Clarence David Coats and Marie Lawson Coats Daughter: Wilma Jean Hayes Sister : Lois Gomez Pallbearers will be Nathan Hamilton, T. J. Woodruff, Justin Balentine, Chris Miller and Kevin Miller. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Alacare Hospice for their care. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
