James Willard Newton, 97, of Five Points, TN, passed away June 25, 2016. Mr. Newton was a retired carpenter and a Baptist.
Mr. Newton is survived by:
Daughters: Glenda Faye Dewberry & Fredia Gail Day
Brother: Hulon Newton
Grandchildren: Tim Dewberrry (Tammy), Marty Dewberry (Amy), Teresa Vaughn (David), and Tony Walker
Great-grandchildren: Braden Walker, Megan Walker, Mikayla Walker, Todd Dewberry, Ethan Vaughn, and Colton Vaughn
He was preceded in death by:
Parents: James Thomas Newton and Mary Frances Hammond Newton
Wife: Vassie Shelton Newton
Brothers: Royce, Hubert, and Charles Newton
Sisters: Effie Fulks, Cleo Fulks, Verna Morrison, Dura Mackey, Jessie Harlan, Erma Newton, and Edna Shook
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 12-2:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with W.D. McCain, Chris Joyner, and Carlos Casteel officiating. Burial will be in Bonnertown Cemetery.
