Winifred Marie Becker, 88, of Killen, AL, passed away January 21, 2017, at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was a child care provider, Past Mother Advisor – Order of Rainbow Girls #66, Member – Order of the Eastern Star - Helion #203, and a Christian.
Survivors include:
Sons: David L. Becker & wife, Jan, Port Coquitlam, BC Canada
Steven C. Becker, Rio Rancho, NM
Daughter: Teresa M. Becker, Killen, AL
Brothers: John Hegarty, Cedar Rapids, IA
(5) Grandchildren & (6) Great Grandchildren
Former husband: Harold Becker
Several Nieces and nephews
Proceeded in death by:
Parents: Donald B. & Frances Springer Hegarty
Brother: Donald Hegarty, Jr.
Sister: Mary Riedel
Visitation will be Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Greenhill Funeral Home from 3:00-6:00pm. The funeral service will follow at 6:00pm with Pastor Greg Woodall officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, January 27th.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home for their care and also to her church family and friends at First Assembly of God in Florence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home.
