I loved my dad's ability to do anything he set his mind to he would always figure something out. He was extremely hardworking and an amazing carpenter. We had so much fun riding our three wheelers around the pastures at the house and sometimes he would take us hunting too. One of my favorite memories is when he taught me how to make chocolate oatmeal cookies so I would know how to make them like he likes them. I loved riding around in his red Chevy listing to music. Riding on the back of his dirt bike and flying through the air! He would wag us around where ever he went and do his best to plan stuff with us. I love how like-minded me and him are especially in our beliefs we would talk and talk about it and wonder together about what it would actually be like when we met Jesus not really realizing how soon one of us would get to find out. All the questions are finally answered and he is with Nana ,Tide and pawpaw. It hurts so much that he is no longer here but he is no longer in pain and I know he is watching over all of us.

I love you Dad and I Will miss you so much I am so glad I got to help you with this journey and be there for you and got to spend all that time with you. Goodbye for now I'll see you later. Love your first born!

Jam Jam was the best stepfather I could have ever asked for. He has been in my life since I was about 3. He stepped up and was there for me as a father when my own father wasn’t. He taught me many hard life lessons but as a know it all kid I didn’t want to hear or listen to until I learned my lesson and realized he was right. I wasn’t the easiest teenager either bc of my attitude but he never gave up on me and still loved me as his own.

Q: What will you never forget about James?
A: Every time I came to visit my mom and my stepdad (Jamie) every Friday he would drive from his job in Birmingham all the way back to Florence and every Friday he would stop and get me a 50 count chicken nugget and if he didn’t, I would have the biggest tantrum and he would always get back out and get my chicken nuggets.
