William Carroll ‘Dub” Looney, 87, of Lexington, AL, passed away at his home on June 28. 2026. Dub was a retired self-employed electrician and was a member of Rogersville First Church of the Nazarene. He was a United States Army Veteran. Dub loved Tennessee football and was a good Christian man who would do anything for anybody in need. He loved his family immensely and would always let them know that he loved them. Dub is survived by: His Wife and the love of his life who he always considered the prettiest girl in the world: Betty Joyce Killen Looney Son: Alex Barnett Daughter: Tonia Looney Eaves (Benny) Sisters: Peggy Coleman & Rose Looney Gieske (7) Grandchildren He was preceded in death by: Parents: Jessie Thomas Looney & Willey Jane Hensley Looney Sister: Joy Gamble Visitation will be Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 P.M. with James Elbert Smith officiating. Burial will be in Richardson Chapel Cemetery with full military honors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
