James George Cooper, 63, of Greenhill, passed away March 1, 2026, at North Alabama Medical Center. He was a native of Lauderdale County, AL, and attended Faith Church. He was employed by American Excelsior for 10 years. George will be remembered for his kindness and love of both family and Alabama football. He had the gift of humor and was a true storyteller. George was very much the life of the party. We will miss his gentle soul and tender heart. Survivors include: Wife: Linda Cooper Stepdaughter: Lisa Blevin (Brad) Stepson: Jeffrey Holt (Jessica) Sister: Cheryl Baker (Danny) Brother: Kerry Cooper Special uncle: Jackie Butler (Daddy Jackie) Nephews: Andrew Cooper, Brennon Glover, Eli Baker Nieces: Lori Glover, Hope Baker, Mallory Glover Grandchildren: Savannah Tutor (David), B.J. Blevins Great grandchild: Rebecca Tutor George had many loving cousins that he considered his siters and brothers. Preceded in death by: Parents: Eugene Cooper & Shirley Cooper Brother: Tim Cooper Sister-in-law: Sheryl Cooper Mother-in-law: Katherine Cheech Visitation will be Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00pm, at Greenhill Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at Shiloh Cemetery with Bro. Tim Grigsby officiating.
