Obituary of Bobby C. Smith

Bobby C. Smith, 86, of Five Points, TN, passed away at his home on February 1, 2026 after an extended battle with cancer. Bobby was a retired Die Cast Operator at Ford Motor Company and was also a farmer and cattleman. He was a member of the United Auto Workers, Carpenters Local, and the Lauderdale County Cattlemen’s Association. Bobby was a member of Northside Church of Christ in Lexington, AL. Bobby is survived by: Wife: Jane Hammond Smith Daughters: Karon Liverett (Curtis) of Lexington, AL; Amy Coats of Muscle Shoals, AL; and Hilda Wiseman (David) of Lexington, AL Sisters: Doris Green of Nashville, TN and Gloria “Dodie” Allen of Lexington, AL Grandchildren: Dannah Johnson (Bubba), Valerie Metcalf (Chris), Shelby Whitt (Alex), Ethan Liverett (Calli), Clayton Wiseman, Joseph Wiseman, and Alisha Harris Great-grandchildren: Karlee & Jaycee McDonald, Payton Johnson, Liam Johnson, Bryson & Caiden Pickens, and Judd & Giles Liverett He was preceded in death by: Parents: Henry Jesse Smith and Idell Jones Smith Brothers: William “Bobo” Smith and Ray Smith Sisters: Theodora Hale and Shirley Hamner Visitation will be Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with Greg Legg officiating. Burial will be in Barnett Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Bailey, Keith Holden, Ethan Liverett, Brent Smith, Craig Smith, and Joseph Wiseman. Honorary pallbearers will be Neil Jones, Jimmy McMasters, Carl Harper, Jeffrey Hammond, and Donnie McGee. The family would like to especially thank RN Angela with Gentiva Hospice and Britney & Krystal, Brittany Butler, Connie Holden, and Dr. Robert Dickson for their care and support during this difficult time.
