Mr. Behel was my teacher for Algebra I and III. He gave me a solid foundation that led to me being an graduating from UNA Magna Cum Laude with a double major in Math and Computer Science. I've gone from there to a successful career and a Ph.D. I realized I was pretty good at math in Mr. Behel's Algebra class. He was a fine educator and always cheerful. The world is better because of Mr. Behel.

Sister Behel and family, I'm sorry to read of your loved one's passing, and may all find comfort in our Lord's word during this time of sadness. In John 11:23-26, “Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” The above scripture is a wonderful promise from our Lord Jesus, and those who have passed on are now in the care of our Lord God, who has shown his love for us through his Beloved Son. Mr. Behel was the best algebra teacher. In those days, we had to go to a chalkboard to write out and solve problems — something I hated. But he always was so encouraging. “You can do it,” he would say, then talked me through it, and always ended with, “See, you did it.” He had the kindest smile and was so approachable in a class that could have been totally intimidating.
