Obituary of Barbara Fay Richardson Peters Brown

Barbara Fay Richardson Peters Brown, 86, of Loretto, TN, went to Heaven on January 7, 2026. She was born on January 5, 1940. Barbara was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church of Loretto. She served as organist for over 50 years and taught Sunday School for all ages for 57 years. She was a loving devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Barbara was retired from Brown’s Ferry where she was the Plant Manger Administrative Assistant. She was also an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed making dresses for the grandkids. She was preceded in death by: Both Sets of Grandparents Mother: Nancy Elizabeth Stanford Richardson Husband: Lenard E. Peters Husband: Bobby D. Brown Son: Mark David Peters Siblings: E.C. Richardson, twins Harolyn & Carolyn, and Danny T. Richardson Nephew: Alan Richardson Barbara is survived by: Sons: Scott Eric Peters and Lenard Brett Peters (Anna) Daughter-In-Law: Beverly Harlan Peters Brother: Mickey Richardson (Layne) Sister-In-Law: Roberta Richardson (4) Grandchildren, (6) Great-grandchildren, (2) Step-Grandchildren, & (8) Step-Greatgrandchildren Nephews: Mike Richardson, Brian Richardson, and Jake Richardson Visitation will be Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 P.M. at Loretto First Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow in the church at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Larry Smart, Bro. Sammy Wallace, and Bro. Kevin Cheatham officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Grove Cemetery.
