Obituary of Cathy Marian Flippo Brewer

Cathy Marian Flippo Brewer, 70, of Killen, AL, passed away December 1, 2025. Cathy loved Alabama Football, music, traveling, shopping, sewing, cooking, and visiting with friends & family. Most of all she loved her daughters and her grandchildren. She was the best Memaw to Colin, Colton, and Anna Claire. She also adored her sons-in-law and said she hit the jackpot with them. Cathy was a retired school bus driver. She drove for Rogers School and the University of North Alabama. She touched many children’s lives daily. Cathy was a member of the Church of Christ. Cathy was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Johnny Alan Brewer, parents Alton Flippo and Bennie Ruth “Monk” Flippo, and her brother Ronald Flippo. She is survived by daughters Cassie Chamblin (Tony), Anna Humphries (Tobey), grandsons Colin Chamblin (Lauren) and Colton Chamblin (Madi), granddaughter Anna Claire Chamblin, sister Sheila Butler (Dennis), special friend Tommy Coker, and many cousins. Visitation with the family will be Friday, December 5, 2025 from 5:00 -8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. There will be a private graveside service at a later date. Honorary pallbearers will be Colin Chamblin, Colton Chamblin, Tony Chamblin, Tobey Humphries, Dennis Bulter, Chad Butler, and Kevin Short.
