Omas Lester, 96, of Waynesboro, TN, passed away August 3, 2025, at his residence. He attended St. Joseph Freewill Baptist Church, was a retired electrician and retired from the United States Air Force, where he served in the Korean War.
Survivors include:
Sons: Herbert Lester & Tim Lester (Tresa)
Daughters: Patty Bates (Edward) & Teresa Potete
Brothers: Fred Roberts, Carl Roberts & Billy Roberts
Sister: Sally Nelson
(13) grandchildren; (19) great grandchildren; (4) great-great grandchildren
Numerous nieces, nephews & cousins
Preceded in death by:
Wife: Blanche Kelley Lester
Parents: Herbert Lester & Lucy Morgan Lester
(1) Grandchild; (1) great grandchild; (1) great-great grandchild
Several brothers & sisters are deceased also
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 5:00 – 8:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 1:00pm, in the funeral home chapel, with Larry Wimmer & Eli Pounders officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove cemetery with full military honors at the graveside.
Pallbearers will be: Chris Lester, Joe Lester, Colton Lester, Daniel Potete, Allen Potete & Phillip Potete.
