Sara F. Dowdy, 84, of Killen, passed away Aug. 1, 2025, at El Reposo Nursing Facility. She was a homemaker and a member of Center Star Baptist Church. Survivors include: Daughters: Tina Delony(Kevin), Charlotte Mathis & Belinda Green(Mark) Sister: Wanda Creasy Grandchildren: Brandi Romine, Barry Marthis(Mindy), Tara Schurfeld, Katie Eldridge(Taylor) & Alex Barber Great grandchildren: Carter Mathis, Maggie Mathis, Theo Mathis, Braxton Davis, Bryson Mathis, Vivian Eldridge & Slade Schurfeld Preceded in death by: Husband: Harold Douglas Dowdy Parents: Hershal Hubbard & Letha Hubbard Brothers: Billy Joe Hubbard & Larry David Hubbard Sisters: Margaret Marie Hubbard, Nannie Dee Rhodes, Thelma Jean Hayes, Jewel Roberson & Barbara Sue Murphy There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens, with Ronnie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Tri-Cities. Pallbearers will be: Dale Hayes, Alex Barber, Kevin Delony, Braxton Davis & Bryson Mathis. The family would like to especially thank Affinity Hospice, all the staff at El Reposo Nursing Home, and the staff at Greenhill Funeral Home for all their care and support during this difficult time.
