Q: What will you never forget about Peggy?
A: When I was 7 years old and walking to school to the old Saint Joseph school for the first time, Peggy said hello to me and I discovered she was my daddy's first cousin. From then on, she was often outside and spoke to me as I walked to school and I felt she was watching out for me. Later in life, I worked with her at Reltoc. There was a young woman who was being abused by her boyfriend and Peggy got all of us to give money to buy her a bus ticket to go to her mother's house. The women returned that night and spent our money at the bar with her boyfriend. The point is Peggy was one of the most caring and compassionate person I have ever known. I will never forget her kindness toward me and toward others.
It was a blessing to have known such a person.
