William Cory Sykes, 35, of Killen, AL, passed away at his home on February 25, 2025. Cory was an Electrician with Local IBEW #558 and a member of the Church of Christ. Cory was very tendered hearted. He loved everyone unconditionally. To know him was to love him. He loved animals, long walks, but above all he loved his Mom & Dad. Cory is survived by: Mother: Teresa Sykes Father: Billy Sykes Brother: Justin Sykes (Tiffany) Nephew: Wesson Sykes Special Cousin: Ashley Reaves Special Friend: Kim Dearman He was preceded in death by: Grandparents: Bobby and Barbara Sykes & Jabo and Edna Gautney Visitation will be Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Tim Grigsby officiating. Burial will be in McGee Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Sykes, Josh Sykes, Jonathan Marks, Luke Austin, Keith Reaves, and Hayden Emerson. The family would especially like to thank Tim Grigsby for always being there, Enhabit Hospice Nurse Melissa, and to his special friend Kim.
